The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino premiered its Guitar Hotel yesterday with a celebration filled with celebrities, a signature guitar smash, and a pool party complete with mermaids and mermen.

The $1.5 billion expansion's focus was the opening of the 450-foot-tall, 638-room Guitar Hotel and the seven-story Oasis tower that features 168 rooms and swim-up suites; along with the new Hard Rock Live entertainment venue.

Also new is the Oculus, a Las Vegas-like indoor sound and light show with a circular dancing fountain, that features several trippy scenes including whales gliding through a city.

Abiaka. This American wood-fired-grill restaurant overlooks the Guitar Hotel's insanely gorgeous pool area and features live fire and solid fuel grilling of various proteins and vegetables.

Bae Korean Grill. This Korean grill restaurant, located next to the shopping arcade, is set to open soon.

Beach Club Bar & Grill. This restaurant offers a fantastic view of the Guitar Hotel and the sprawling pool area. Open daily until sundown.

The Bol. Located off the casino, the Bol offers standard Chinese and Vietnamese dishes like pork dumplings ($16), Chinese egg rolls ($10), and pad Thai ($19).

Center Bar. In the center of the casino, enjoy a cocktail while playing video poker.

Cipresso. Next to the Hard Rock Cafe, Cipresso offers Italian-American fare and pizzas. Offerings include lamb ragu and garganelli pasta ($25), cacio e pepe ($26), and a sausage pizza with broccolini ($18).

As part of its ongoing expansion, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa has opened Rise Kitchen & Deli.

Located on the new casino floor, Rise Kitchen & Deli will be open 24/7 and offer a breakfast menu from 7-11 a.m., as well as an all-day menu from 11-7 a.m. It will also feature a grab-and-go service.

Formerly known as Rise Kitchen & Bakery, the new venue is divided into two dining areas that include Pullman style booths, along with table and banquette seating.

Designed by Klai Juba Wald Architects out of Las Vegas, Rise Kitchen & Deli covers 9,681 sq. ft., which includes more than 5,900 sq. ft. of dining space and over 3,700 sq. ft. for the kitchen.

“Rise Kitchen & Deli is the go-to dining option for fresh, chef-driven food that compliments the soul,” said Dawn Lazo, vice president of food and beverage. “Whether you are looking for a morning treat, late night snack or anything in between, Rise Kitchen & Deli has something for everyone.”

Led by Chef Valentín Castañeda and Pastry Chef Stephan Schubert, the restaurant offers a unique menu with inspired breakfast offerings and house roasted deli sandwiches, as well as decadent cakes and pastries made from scratch each day.

Breakfast items include such favorites as grits & eggs, omelets and skillet platters, while the lunch menu features “From the Deli – Your Way,” which gives the guest a choice of meat, bread and spread along with house-made chips and a pickle. Main entrées include beef short ribs, salmon and pan seared pork chops.

The grab-and-go service includes a wide array of specialty coffees like Americano, chai latte and espresso. Additionally, there is an extensive list of pastries offered including chocolate chunk cookies, turtle brownies, sticky buns, éclairs and cheesecake on a stick.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will continue to expand and refresh its culinary amenities with the addition of a new 200-seat Italian restaurant slated to open in the fall.
